Tar River Baptist Association is an association of 54 Baptist Churches in Franklin, Nash, Granville, and Wake Counties. Tar River Baptist Association exists to assist the local church in its efforts to be the church in and to the communities it serves. The purpose of the association is to (1) strengthen the local church, and (2) impact lostness in THIS generation.

The staff of the association is called of God to serve as your associational staff and we stand ready to assist you in any way that we can serve you. Dougald W. McLaurin, Jr. came to serve as Associational Missionary in November of 2000. Sherri Barham came to serve as Ministry Assistant in September of 2009. Meredith Byrd came to us first as a summer intern, working in a variety of settings and has remained with us ever since. She now serves as part-time Church Ministries Director. In August of 2011, Joseph Lively came to serve as our part-time Church Development Director serving as a student intern on assignment for the next couple of years. In addition to our office staff, Susan Stamper serves as our part-time bookkeeper. For more information about TRBA staff members, click on their names above.
The purpose of this website is to keep our member churches informed of activities, events, training, resources, etc. to strengthen us in our work to strengthen the church and impact THIS generation for Christ.
